This Statement of Privacy applies to the PowerDNN Web site and governs data collection and usage. By using the PowerDNN website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

PowerDNN has been awarded TRUSTe's Privacy Seal signifying that this privacy policy and practices have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with TRUSTe's program requirements including transparency, accountability and choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information.  The TRUSTe program does not cover information that may be collected through downloadable software. TRUSTe's mission, as an independent third party, is to accelerate online trust among consumers and organizations globally through its leading privacy trustmark and innovative trust solutions. Collection of your Personal Information

PowerDNN collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number, and credit card information from you on the registration form when you create an account.  During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address). We also collect your personal information when you contact us regarding any inquires. We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. PowerDNN also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites for market research.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by PowerDNN. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by PowerDNN for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the PowerDNN Web site.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through PowerDNN websites hosted on subdomains of PowerDNN.com, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: PowerDNN does not read any of your private online communications.  To request removal of your personal information from our website comment system, contact us at support@powerdnn.com.  In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information.  We do obtain the customer’s consent via email prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.  To request remove of your personal information from our testimonials, please contact us at billing@powerdnn.com.  In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

PowerDNN encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from PowerDNN so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. PowerDNN is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the PowerDNN and PowerDNN family of Web sites.

Special Offers and Updates

We will occasionally send you information on products, services, special deals, promotions and promotions as part of being a customer of PowerDNN.  If you do not wish to receive these emails, you may deactivate your account. 

Newsletters

If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you.  Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe. [Receiving our newsletter is required as part of the service that we offer.  If you wish to no longer receive our newsletters you may deactivate your account.

Service-related Announcements

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance or when you have a bill coming due, we might send you an email.  

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.  If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account. 


Use of your Personal Information

PowerDNN collects and uses your personal information to operate the PowerDNN Web site and deliver the services you have requested. PowerDNN also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from PowerDNN and its affiliates. PowerDNN may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered on our site.  If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information.  The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).  

We use this information to better understand our customers and provide higher quality services.  We may also use it to notify contest winners and award prizes, to monitor site traffic or personalize the site (in the case of anonymous information collected in surveys), and to send participants an email newsletter.

We may use a third party service provider to conduct these surveys or contests; that company will be prohibited from using our users’ personally identifiable information for any other purpose.  We will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a contest or survey with other third parties unless we give you prior notice and choice.

Choice/Opt-out

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.  For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can deactivate your account. 

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by deactivating your account.

You will be notified when your personally identifiable information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

If you do wish to have your personally identifiable information shared, or wish to opt-out from receiving further communications from any third party that is not our agent or service provider, you may deactivate your account or contact the third party directly.

PowerDNN does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. PowerDNN may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, PowerDNN may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, arrange for deliveries, process credit card payments, provide customer support, provide additional support via Live Chat  to assist you if you have questions while using our site or regarding your order. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to PowerDNN, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

PowerDNN does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.

PowerDNN keeps track of the Web sites and pages our customers visit within PowerDNN, in order to determine what PowerDNN services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within PowerDNN to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

PowerDNN Web sites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on PowerDNN or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of PowerDNN; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of PowerDNN, or the public.

Updating/Accessing/Amending/Correcting Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may deactivate your account through our control panel at http://Control.PowerDNN.com/cp/ or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.  We will respond to your request to access within 30 days.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.  If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at billing@powerdnn.com.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Use of Cookies

The PowerDNN Web site use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.  We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize PowerDNN pages, or register with PowerDNN site or services, a cookie helps PowerDNN to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same PowerDNN Web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the PowerDNN features that you customized.

The use of cookies by our third party tracking utility company is not covered by our privacy policy.  We do not have access or control over these cookies.

Security of your Personal Information

PowerDNN secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. PowerDNN secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Changes to this Statement

PowerDNN will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.  

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently.  If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page. PowerDNN encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how PowerDNN is protecting your information.
